Hit the first speed bump. Special ed laws in this country mandate that special ed classrooms be as close as possible to normal classrooms, this is called being nonrestrictive. Part of that means that normally developing children must be involved in the curriculum somehow, for peer modeling. With a normal preschool, it's easy to integrate a special ed child with some added support, and there's no issue with being restrictive. With an exclusively special ed program, the issue becomes how to integrate "normal" children. It's possible to bring in "normal" children, but parents of such children might have issues with their children being taught in special ed when they don't require it. So how? Team up with a normal preschool and do a sister site thing? I suppose that's possible. I'm brainstorming. I want this to work.
