I used to think it was just me and him that were broken. That was why we always fought, you see; if we were normal people, if we were satisfied or stupid, we would have gotten along. But that quality, our brokennness is what was grating between the two of us.

I said once, in reference to our relationship, "The truth is we're too fragile for eachother."

Really, though, it's something more like, "Everyone is too fragile for everybody else. We are all cracked and bleeding, and none of this is special. He and I clash because we alone refuse to accept the brokenness; the failure within ourselves."
