Skipping my morning class to go home and install a lock on my door. A chain lock for my room, so that if my father decides on a repeat performance, at least there is some warning. At least there is a line of defense against him.
Not looking forward to it at all. Being sat down by my parents and having a "discussion". My parents "discuss" the way dictators "discuss": they don't. My father will explain to me why it's all my fault that he drank too much and told my mother he was going to kill her. My mother will explain why he doesn't deserve to be in jail or divorced.
