"Come on," we nudged in the parking lot, "you look thirsty." In ABA they call it a disguised mand: you say "I'm cold" but what you really mean is "give me your sweater". By "you look thirsty", we meant, "drink, bitch".

My baby brother said "I dunno..."

"He would have wanted you to have a drink for him in front of the funeral parlor," I said.

My baby brother smiled, sighed, said, "well shit. I guess I have to then."

After that it's snippets because next I was the opposite of sober.
